Alastair is the Director of Oakwood Scotland Solicitors and brings a wealth of experience in personal injury and civil litigation. With 24 years in the legal profession, he regularly handles complex and high-value claims, appearing frequently in courts across Scotland.

An Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law, Alastair is both well-known and highly respected for his pragmatic approach to disputes. His expertise also extends beyond personal injury to wider areas of civil litigation, including debt recovery, property litigation, breach of contract, and consumer disputes.

He has also been involved in several notable child abuse inquiries, such as Quarriers Child Abuse Inquiry and the Independent States of Jersey Child Abuse Inquiry, which formed part of Operation Yewtree and contributed to exposing figures such as Jimmy Saville.

A former tutor at the University of Strathclyde, Alastair values fostering a positive learning environment and remains actively involved in supporting students as they enter the legal profession.

Alex joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in June 2025. He is a paralegal working within the Litigation Department, working primarily within Road Traffic Accident claims in preparation for his Traineeship commencing this year. 

 

Before joining the team Alex obtained his LLB from The Robert Gordon University where he graduated with First-Class honours. Thereafter he obtained his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde.

 

Alex has a keen interest in Litigation and Dispute Resolution and looking forward to expanding his knowledge and skill to better serve clients.   When looking for a forward-thinking litigation firm at the vanguard of Personal Injury work, Oakwood Scotland Solicitors was a perfect fit.  The variety of work and exposure to different work types offers Alex the opportunity to join Oakwood Scotland Solicitors and grow as the firm grows.

Aimee Fox joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in October 2023 as a Paralegal in the Criminal Injury Department. She graduated from university with a First-Class Honours degree in Law with Criminology and has also successfully completed Master of Law.

Prior to joining Oakwood, Aimee gained experience in retail and customer service, and she is now focused on developing her legal career in personal injury law.

Carol handles a wide range of clinical, cosmetic and dental negligence claims and has years of experience handling complex matters, securing substantial amounts of damages for her clients.

Dawn Wood joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in 2024 as part of our Medical Negligence team. Dawn has worked in law for 20 years in the areas of Insolvency and Personal Injury/Medical Negligence.

Dawn has worked on both the Claimant and Defendant side of the table and has a keen interest in pursuing justice and preventing injustice.

Elizabeth Strode joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in January 2024 and is a Paralegal within the Scottish Road Traffic Accidents Department.

She manages all aspects of road traffic accident claims, guiding clients through each stage of the legal process to achieve the best possible outcome. Elizabeth is known for her approachable manner and attention to detail, ensuring that every client receives clear advice and consistent support. 


Before joining Oakwood Scotland, Elizabeth gained experience in commercial litigation and holds an undergraduate degree in Law. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at university and aspires to qualify as a solicitor in the near future.

Emily-Mae Pearson joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in April 2025. Emily-Mae works as a Paralegal in the Road Traffic Accidents team.

In her role, Emily-Mae assists clients through all stages of road traffic accident claims, ensuring they receive clear guidance and support throughout legal processes. She is known for her meticulous approach to case management and her commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. 

Emily-Mae graduated with First-Class Honours in Law and continues to develop her legal expertise through combination of academic achievements and hands-on experience in personal injury cases.

Jessica Atha is a Paralegal in the Road Traffic Accidents Department at Oakwood Scotland Solicitors.

She manages all aspects of road traffic accident claims across Scotland, providing clients with clear guidance and support throughout their process. Jessica holds a First-Class Honours degree in Law and has also obtained a Master’s degree. 

Raised in a military family, Jessica has lived in several countries, including Germany and Belgium. Her international background has inspired a lasting passion for travel and history.

Leah Munro joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in 2024, initially as a legal assistant, before being offered a position as a trainee paralegal.

Leah plays a key role in gathering evidence and submitting claims to defendants, ensuring that clients feel heard and supported throughout the process.

She has a particular interest in the mental health aspects of medical negligence and is passionate about advocating for individuals whose lives have been significantly affected. Leah enjoys building strong relationships with clients and providing them with guidance and reassurance.

Max Bland graduated from university in July 2022 with a 2:1. After previously working in financial mis-selling, he joined Oakwood Scotland Solicitors in January 2023 as a Legal Assistant in the Medical Negligence department.

Max is now a Paralegal, continuing to develop both his academic and practical skills as he works toward his ambition of becoming a qualified solicitor.

Nadia Camilli is a Senior Paralegal at Oakwood Scotland Solicitors and brings over 18 years of extensive experience in managing personal injury claims from inception to resolution. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong reputation for her meticulous case management, client-focused approach, and in-depth understanding of the litigation process. 

She has handled a wide range of both pre-litigated and litigated claims, including road traffic collisions, employer liability, public liability, dog bite incidents, medical negligence, and industrial disease cases. 

Dedicated and detail-oriented, Nadia plays a key role within the firm’s litigation team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services and achieving successful outcomes for clients across Scotland.

Paul McMullan is Head of the Employers’ and Public Liability Department and has been part of the firm for over 15 years.

Paul represents his clients in a wide range of cases, including complex claims and catastrophic injury. His experience in this field ensures that cases are progressed efficiently whilst maintaining a high level of client care.


In addition to EL/PL, Paul deals heavily in Product and Cosmetic Liability Injury claims. These areas add to his already extensive experience in Civil Litigation.
